Drive with Friends — Multiplayer GPS Car Sessions

Drive with Friends is FastTrack's multiplayer GPS feature that lets you create real-time driving sessions where friends join via a code and compete or cruise together with live GPS tracking. Think of it as a social driving experience that turns an ordinary drive into a shared event with results, rankings, and memories.

Drive Modes

How It Works

Starting a session takes about 10 seconds. Open FastTrack, tap "Drive with Friends," choose a mode, and share the generated join code with your friends. They enter the code on their phone, and everyone is connected. The session tracks everyone's GPS position, speed, and distance in real time, then generates results and rankings when the drive is complete.

Sessions are saved to your drive history, and you can share the results to the FastTrack community feed or your group. Every participant gets credit on the session leaderboard.

No Other Car App Does This

Most car enthusiast apps let you share photos after the fact. FastTrack's Drive with Friends creates a live, shared driving experience. Whether you are at a car meet doing acceleration pulls, on a scenic group cruise, or just trying to beat your friend's 0-60 time on the same stretch of road, this turns individual driving into a social activity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Drive with Friends?

Drive with Friends is FastTrack's multiplayer drive session feature. One person creates a session, picks a mode (Cruise, Race, Rolling, or Open), and shares a 6-character join code. Friends enter the code, choose a vehicle from their garage, and everyone drives together with live GPS tracking and real-time leaderboards.

How many people can join a Drive with Friends session?

A Drive with Friends session supports up to 20 participants. The host creates the session and shares the join code — anyone with the code can join until the session starts.

What are the 4 session modes?

Cruise tracks distance, top speed, average speed, and duration. Race times acceleration runs like 0-60 mph and quarter-mile. Rolling measures rolling-start speed tests from 60 mph and up. Open combines all three modes into one session so you can track everything at once.

Do all participants need to be in the same location?

No. Participants can drive from anywhere — you don't need to be in the same location. Everyone's GPS position is broadcast in real-time, and the live leaderboard ranks everyone regardless of where they are. It works great for both car meets and remote challenges.

Is Drive with Friends free?

Yes. Drive with Friends is completely free, along with every other feature in FastTrack. There are no subscriptions, no premium tiers, and no paywalls. Download FastTrack from the App Store and start a session.
